Flight Information:

Crete has two main international airports, Heraklion Airport is situated on the East of the island and Chania Airport is situated on the West of the island.

Easyjet now offer scheduled flights from London Gatwick and Manchester, to Heraklion and Chania from May-October.

From April until the end of October you will find direct charter flights to Crete from main airports in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and many more countries. Outside these dates, you can travel by daily scheduled flights from all countries in Europe to Athens and then get a local connection to your destination. From Athens to Heraklion or Chania airport you can fly with Olympic Airways, Aegean Airways and now Athens Airways.

Ferry Information


There is a regular ferryboat service from the port of Piraeus to Heraklion and Chania. 

The main company is Anek Lines www.anek.gr which sails daily between Piraeus, Chania, Rethymnon and Heraklion. Also Minoan Lines www.minoan.gr sails every day from Heraklion.
